Moonlight Beach, Encinitas, California.

Two weeks before I found Zion Viola, the San Diego native popped onto my social media algorithm, and I was taken by her beautiful curls and bright personality. I messaged her explaining I’ll be in her area in a fortnight, and asked if she’d like to work together. She said yes.

Within a week, I had sewn a dress, a pair of balloon-like pants, and knit a creation of my own design. Another week later, we were shooting on the beach, exchanging creative stories and creating my vision.
